Our Vision
For A CURE Charity Foundation
In 2008, a charity foundation was set up for the purpose of intensive research using whatever means necessary to effect a cure for cancer and other major diseases. The founder of the charity, Angie Cleone, has the heart of an angel and the fierceness of a lioness in her determination to find cures that will rid the peoples of the world of the pain and suffering of disease.
Angie’s mother was taken by breast cancer after a long term illness. As a result, Angie was always aware that this disease may one day strike at her. Unfortunately, years later, she herself was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent extensive treatment to rid herself of this devastating illness. She is determined to gather the great scientific minds and eradicate cancer once and for all. The University of New South Wales is very much behind Angie in her courageous fight against major disease.
The foundation’s approach will be to finance institutions such as the UNSW, Lowy Cancer Research Centre, Monash University and others who want to join the fight For A CURE.
One of the most promising leads in the hunt for a cure is stem cell research. Although there’s been controversy on the topic, research into stem cells is a science that is being pursued in a highly ethical manner, and may one day lead to treatments and cures, not only for cancer, but for many other diseases and injuries that afflict humanity. We all deserve the chance of living a disease free life. Angie’s focus is not on treating the symptoms of disease, but on finding and relieving its cause.
The charity will include humanitarians, environmentalists, scientists, celebrities and think tanks to unite people of the world as one. The beauty of humanity is typified in its compassion, love and intelligence. We can find a cure by working together if we employ these greatest of human virtues.
